Prize-giving 7th Feb 2026
38 members got together to celebrate on the water achievements during the 2025 sailing season. We enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Sizzlers under a beautiful black and gold setting created by Kelly and her boys with drinks supplied by the new bar team, Jenny and Tim.
Olly Unsworth and Tim Allen and Iain McNeill required wheelbarrows to take their hauls home, but it wasn’t quite a clean sweep. New members Mike (Rotary club trophy) and Jordan (Alderman Trophy) both got a moment in the limelight and Amalia received the Joyce Naylor Trophy for her outstanding performance throughout the season. A full list of the trophies, what they are awarded for and who won them will be published in the 2026 handbook soon.
A big thank you, amongst others, to Kelly Unsworth and her team for the decorations and booking the caterers, Graham Massey for collating the results and gathering, cleaning and storing the prizes, Jenny for stocking and serving the drinks and Andrew Austwick for ensuring the presentation worked.
