Discover Sailing - 7 May 2022

Dovestone Sailing Club hosted their annual open day on Saturday 7th May, under the banner of Discover Sailing, a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) initiative. More than 60 people of all ages took to the water in a perfect day for a trial sail.

BOOM Sailing

BOOM Sail Power and Race Training has been set up by former member Cris Miles as a fully RYA accredited sailing school based in Conwy, N Wales. Using a 40' Beneteau First they also have the distinction of running the fastest training boat in Wales (and probably Scotland!).

It's easy to join - just fill out this online form. You don't need a boat straightaway. Borrow a club boat, or crew for another member. When you are ready to buy a boat it doesn't need to cost an arm and a leg, there are lots of second-hand bargains to be had.

WHO WE ARE

We are a sailing club, affiliated to the RYA, that welcomes families and individuals new to sailing or experienced. We provide training and coaching for adults and young people, to develop skills towards taking part in the club racing programme and beyond.
